SexTech Channel Guide

Methodology

How this guide forms its recommendations

Every recommendation on this site comes from three sources: Wellness Marketing Reports’ interviews with 63 industry leaders, its own client case studies and cited public market data.

Where do the channel recommendations on this site come from?

They come from research and client work by Wellness Marketing Reports, the business that publishes this site. It interviewed 63 leaders in sexual wellness and women’s health for its 2025 white paper, then tested the findings in client programs that report each channel against revenue.

The three evidence sources

63 interviews

In depth interviews with 63 industry leaders on what grows a censored brand and what quietly drains its budget, published as Turning Stigma into Strategy, a 2025 white paper.

Client case studies

Results from client work, including a sexual health device brand, a women’s health services company and an email program. Figures are the business’s own reported results.

Public data

Market sizes and marketing statistics from published reports, always named and linked, such as HubSpot.

How a recommendation is made

  1. Start from category evidence

Check what the 63 interviews say about the channel: who used it, and with what outcome.

  2. Check against client results

Compare with outcomes Wellness Marketing Reports has measured in its own programs.

  3. Apply the same criteria to every channel

Censorship exposure, strength of evidence and how directly results tie to revenue.

  4. State the exceptions

Name the situations where a different channel should come first.

What this method does not claim

This site is published by Wellness Marketing Reports, which sells the services described. It is not independent. The interview findings are the business’s own research, not an audit, and case study results vary by brand. No page promises rankings, revenue or platform approval. See the ranked channel guide and about page for more.

Common questions

What does research-led marketing mean?

It means the strategy comes from evidence gathered across the category before any execution. Wellness Marketing Reports interviewed 63 industry leaders in sexual wellness and women’s health about what grew their brands and what drained budget, published the findings in a 2025 white paper, Turning Stigma into Strategy, and builds client plans from those findings.

How do you measure results?

Every channel is reported against revenue. In past work Wellness Marketing Reports attributed revenue using post purchase surveys combined with Shopify data, and removed wholesale from email numbers so email performance was not inflated. That lets you decide where to spend based on data rather than opinion, and cut channels that do not pay back.

Do you just advise, or do you run the channels?

Both. Wellness Marketing Reports does the research and then implements the findings for clients, using technology and teamwork to run outreach, placements, email flows and content day to day. You get a channel strategy already pressure tested against 63 companies in your category, plus the team that carries it out and reports on it.
